Vocal Warm-up - Range Test is one of the features in the Pageno Music collection on CODAA, designed to help users develop vocal techniques, monitor pitch accuracy, and determine their vocal range through audio analysis technology.

This feature is suitable for beginners learning vocal techniques, individuals looking to improve vocal control, and students preparing for vocal music entrance examinations.

1. Accessing Vocal Warm-up - Range Test

From the Home screen of the CODAA app, select the Pageno Music feature group, then choose Vocal Warm-up - Range Test.

Here, users can access vocal exercises, pitch monitoring tools, and vocal range measurement features according to their needs.

Before getting started, make sure CODAA has permission to access your device's microphone to capture and analyze your voice. Users must also enter or measure their vocal range in the Settings screen.

Users must set their vocal range (or measure it by following the instructions) before starting their practice session.

2. Using the Vocal Warm-up Feature

The Vocal Warm-up feature allows users to practice vocal exercises based on melodic patterns and pitches, using voice recognition technology to provide information during practice sessions.

Step 1: Select an Exercise

Choose a vocal exercise that matches your current skill level and training goals.

Exercises may focus on skills such as:

  • Practicing vocalization and maintaining pitch.

  • Practicing transitions between musical notes.

  • Singing ascending and descending melodic patterns.

  • Developing vocal control and pitch stability.

It is recommended to begin with simple exercises within a comfortable vocal range before progressing to more technically demanding exercises.

Users can select an exercise that best suits their vocal training goals.

Step 2: Listen to the Reference and Start Practicing

After selecting an exercise, listen to the reference melody provided by the system and sing along.

During practice, CODAA uses your device's microphone to capture audio signals and analyze your vocal pitch.

For better recognition accuracy, practice in a quiet environment with minimal background noise and position your device at an appropriate distance (approximately 60 cm or 24 inches).

Step 3: Monitor Your Vocal Pitch

While singing, the system displays pitch information to help users observe and adjust their vocal performance.

Based on the analysis results, users can:

  • Identify the pitch they are currently singing.

  • Compare their vocal pitch with the target musical note.

  • Detect sections where their pitch is higher or lower than required.

  • Improve their ability to maintain consistent pitch.

Recognition accuracy may be affected by microphone quality, environmental noise, and the singer's vocal technique.

3. Using the Range Test Feature

Range Test helps determine the range of pitches a user can produce, from their lowest to highest notes.

The measurement results provide an initial understanding of the user's vocal range and help them select exercises appropriate for their abilities.

Step 1: Prepare for the Range Test

Before starting, warm up your voice with gentle vocal exercises.

Choose a quiet environment and make sure your microphone is functioning properly.

Avoid measuring your vocal range when experiencing hoarseness, fatigue, or throat discomfort.

Step 2: Perform the Range Test

Start the measurement process by following the instructions displayed in the app.

Begin singing notes within your comfortable middle register, then gradually extend toward lower and higher pitches.

During this process, CODAA analyzes your vocal signals to identify pitch and help determine your vocal range limits.

Note: Do not force your voice to reach extremely low or high notes just to achieve a wider range. Stop immediately if you experience pain, strain, or discomfort while singing. If the measurement quality falls below the acceptable threshold (approximately 80%), the system will notify you to stop or retry for a more accurate result.

Step 3: View Your Test Results

After completing the test, users can review the vocal range analysis results provided by the system.

Users can also share the generated files, including the audio recording and graphical analysis report, with vocal coaches or professional instructors for a more accurate assessment.

4. Important Tips for Vocal Practice

To make the most of the Vocal Warm-up - Range Test features, users should maintain a consistent practice routine suited to their individual abilities.

  • Warm up your voice before attempting exercises that require higher pitches.

  • Choose exercises appropriate for your current stage of vocal development or the songs you intend to perform.

  • Prioritize accuracy, comfort, and stability rather than forcing your voice to reach extremely high or low notes.

  • Use your microphone in a quiet environment to improve analysis accuracy.

  • Combine CODAA practice sessions with professional guidance from vocal instructors to refine your singing techniques.

5. Vocal Practice with CODAA and Pageno Music

By combining CODAA's audio analysis technology with the professional training expertise of Pageno Music Vocal Training Center, Vocal Warm-up - Range Test provides tools that help learners practice independently, monitor their pitch, and better understand their vocal capabilities.

These features are designed to complement vocal education and examination preparation, rather than replace direct technical assessments and guidance from qualified vocal instructors.
